The Benefits Finder is a tool that can help you find Benefits and Services that you may be eligible to receive. It asks a few questions and uses your answers to search. Canada Recovery Benefit
The Canada Recovery Benefit (CRB) gives income support to employed and self-employed individuals who are directly affected by COVID-19 and are not entitled to Employment Insurance (EI) benefits.
The government is proposing to extend the CRB by 2 periods (4 weeks). You would be able to apply for the benefit between September 27, 2020 and October 23, 2021. The maximum number of periods you could apply for would also extend to 27 periods (54 weeks).
Canada Recovery Caregiving Benefit 

The Canada Recovery Caregiving Benefit (CRCB) gives income support to employed and self-employed individuals who are unable to work because they must care for their child under 12 years old or a family member who needs supervised care. This applies if their school, regular program or facility is closed or unavailable to them due to COVID-19, or because they are sick, self-isolating, or at risk of serious health complications due to COVID-19. The CRCB is administered by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

The government is proposing to extend the CRCB by 4 weeks. You would be able to apply for the benefit between September 27, 2020 and October 23, 2021. The maximum number of weeks you could apply for remains unchanged at 42 weeks. 
Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit 
The Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit (CRSB) gives income support to employed and self-employed individuals who are unable to work because they are sick or need to self-isolate due to COVID-19, or have an underlying health condition that puts them at greater risk of getting COVID-19. The CRSB is administered by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
The government is proposing to extend the CRSB by 4 weeks. You would be able to apply for the benefit between September 27, 2020 and October 23, 2021. The maximum number of weeks you could apply for remains unchanged at 4 weeks.
Child care financial support  
We offer child care fee subsidy for those who qualify. You may qualify if you are working, going to school, receiving Ontario Works or have a child with special needs. Fee subsidy helps pay some or all of the cost of childcare to one of the many licensed child care options in Northumberland. 
Community Outreach Program  

If you have low to moderate income, are not eligible for Ontario Works or are a senior with a fixed income, our community outreach may be able to help you with rental or utility arrears, dental, prescription or vision costs and other needs.

If you have a disability and you do not have enough money for food and housing, you can apply for financial assistance through ODSP.

Disability benefits 
Includes disability pensions and children’s benefits, savings plans and a gasoline tax refund program. 
Employment Insurance 
Employment Insurance benefits and leave information for workers, families, fishers and sickness, as well as how to apply and submit a report.  
Family and caregiving benefits 
Benefits to help with the costs of raising children, including children with disabilities. Employment Insurance benefits such as maternity, parental and caregiving benefits and leave.
Ontario Works (OW)
If you or someone you know is having a hard time paying for rent, utilities or food, Northumberland County Community and Social Services may be able to offer help through Ontario Works

Special needs resources
If you have a child with special needs, we want to ensure that they can take part in a licensed childcare program or approved recreational program of your choice. Northumberland County Early Years has partnered with Five Counties Children's Centre to deliver Northumberland's Special Needs Resourcing Program. Contact Five Counties Children's Centre for support.
